SUBBING INFORMATION

All Substitutes will have to remain on campus until 3:10 pm. No Substitute will be allowed to leave campus during his/her planning time without administrative permission (Principal or Asst. Principal). If allowed, you must sign out and then upon your return sign back in. 

If you should have any questions, please feel free to stop by the office and Brenda Nolan will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for committing to coming to River Road Middle School.

7:30 a.m. until 8:10 a.m. (students must leave the cafeteria at this time.)

Before School Assignments:

All teachers are to check their mailboxes when they arrive at work. Teachers who have Homebase responsibilities must be in their classrooms by 7:45 a.m., since students will enter the classrooms at 7:45 a.m.

  

 

Lunch:

All students are scheduled to go to lunch with their teams. All teachers who take students to lunch are on duty throughout the entire time their students are in the cafeteria.

   

 

Collection of Money:

Only Teachers collect and receipt any money; Substitutes are not to handle any money.

   

 

Dress Code:

All substitutes are to dress according to the class that they are to be associated with. Do not wear nay inappropriate attire such as jeans, tops with shoestring traps, fleece sweatshirts and fleece sweatpants (only those that are RRMS, etc.)

    

 

Afternoon Dismissal:

Teachers are expected to remain in the building and in their class or team area until 3:10 p.m.   All teachers will have developed procedures for orderly dismissal of students.  Students should be closely supervised by substitutes as they go to lockers and leave the building.

   

 

Disiplinary Philosophies:

RRMS follows the team approach to dealing with discipline problems. Teachers are to check with team leaders first to handle routine discipline problems. Students leaving classes must have a pass specifying time and location. Discipline referral forms should be sent to the Assistant Principals.
