PTA PRESIDENT  I  PTA OFFICERS  I  EXECUTIVE MTG. DATES  I  PTA INFORMATION  I  VOLUNTEER

From our PTA President:

On behalf of the River Road Middle School PTA, allow me to welcome you and your child to our school.  I look forward to serving as your president and hope with your help to accomplish great things for our school this year.

As our children enter their teen years and face the challenges of middle school, they need our support and guidance more now than ever. In order to facilitate more parental involvement and maintain that connection with your child the PTA offers many volunteer opportunities for everyone, even if your time is limited.  See the volunteer page in the PTA booklet and on our web site.  We also encourage you to commuicate with your child's teachers. There is a homework hotline for parents and students to check nightly as well as an email listing of all teachers at RRMS, some teachers have web pages for their classes which will be beneficial as well.

During this 2007-2008 school year, please work with us in sponsoring various events for teachers as well as being a support system  to them with classroom tasks. Our fundraising efforts help us provide many necessary items for RRMS.

All parents are encouraged not to just join the PTA, but also be a participant in the many activities and fund-raising events scheduled this year. If you would like more information regarding membership or how you can become involved in the PTA, please contact me or any of the executive committee members. Remember, together we can make a difference!

Thank you in advance for your assistance and support this year.

Yours Sincerely,

Claudia Carden

  PTA INFORMATION:

The River Road Middle School PTA

Presents the

***NO FUSS FUNDRAISER***

The River Road Middle School PTA's goal is to provide programs, facility enhancements, and educational materials for the children, staff, and parents of our school. Many of these items are not included in the school budget, so the PTA steps up to help provide for these. In order for the PTA to provide this service we have to raise funds. The students and teachers at River Road rely on your generosity and participation in the NO Fuss Fundraiser to provide the money necessary to carry out our mission.

"No Fuss" is your chance to make a donation directly to the River Road Middle School PTA. There is no product to buy! It's easy for you and the children of River Road to benefit immediately. And of course, your donation is completely tax deductible. All donations are confidential and no donation is too small! Remember, this is a great way for grandparents, aunts, & uncles to get involved. This program also allows River Road Middle School to keep 100% of the money collected.

Some of the major items the PTA has recently provided for the School are the new sitting wall outside the front of the school so students waiting to be picked up at the end of the day have a place to sit, the River Road Rocket mats that are located at the front entrance, $1,000 toward graphing calculators, $1,000 each year to the school clubs, $1,000 toward the construction of the new technology lab in our media center for equipment and furniture, just to name a few.

River Road Middle School PTA has set a goal of $10,000 through this fundraiser and we feel confident that parental and community support will help us achieve this. So how will we raise the money... simply by parents, grandparents, business leaders, and friends willing to make a tax deductible donation to the PTA. It can't be any easier than that and every dollar collected stays here at River Road Middle School, not in someone else's pocket. Remember... 100% directly to our school!!!!

***The Fundriaser will Start November 26th and end December 17th***

If you have an questions or comments concerning the fundraiser please contact a member of your PTA Board. More copies of the donation form are available BELOW, simply click the DOWNLOAD DONATION FORM, if extended family members would like to contribute or you can send a note for this request to your child(ren)'s Home Base teacher.

Please contact us if your employer matches donations made by employees or retirees. We would be happy to complete any paperwork necessary to insure that your donation goes as far as possible to support the River Road Middle School PTA!

Checks can be made payable to "River Road Middle School PTA".

Thank you for your support!
