PTA UPDATES
May 20, 2008 - A few quick notes from the PTA Meeting:
Volunteer Raffle Winners: Congratulations and Thank You for Giving Your Time!
Melissa Bowe won the hand painted wine glasses.
Gloria Kelson won the $100 Farm Fresh Gift Card.
PTA Purchase Announcement: We have ordered 60 "seat sacks"
to be used in the 5th grade classrooms. Since these classrooms
use tables instead of desks, storage space is limited.
The sacks go on the back of the chairs and students can store books
and other materials in them.
Farm Fresh Receipts: Thank you for turning in so many receipts!
The PTA has collected over $90,000 in receipts which will be
converted into points. The points are used to choose items
from the Farm Fresh catalog for books and other equipment for the school.
We are collecting receipts until May 31st.
Looking Forward to Next Year:
Your new PTA board has some fun and exciting events in the works for next year.
Ideas include Bingo Nights, Candle Sales, Santa Shop, a possible yard sale and more!
Their main goal is to increase PTA membership. They are also focused on
parents, teachers, and the community working together to help make our school
the best it can be!
Thank You!
