Elizabeth City / Pasquotank County Schools offers a full-day program. In order to attend kindergarten, children must be five years old on or before October 16, 2008. Beginning fall 2009 and thereafter, children must be five by August 31 in order to begin kindergarten in that school year. For fall 2007 and fall 2008, the cut-off date remains October 16.
To register, please bring your child and the following:
- The child's Social Security card.
- Proof of residence of parent(s) (or court-appointed guardian). To do this you need to bring the parent’s drivers licenses and a recent utility bill with the current address.
- A certified copy of the child's birth certificate, which can be obtained from the county or state health department where the child was born.
- An updated immunization record. Physical examination forms are available at area doctors' offices or at the Pasquotank County Health Department. Parents whose children do not have a regular physician can get health assessments and immunizations through the Pasquotank County Health Department (338-4400). NEW INFORMATION:
As of January 1, 2008 all students entering Kindergarten or sixth grade must have a Tdap vaccination before beginning the 2008-2009 school year.
