Hooray!!!!! Welcome to third grade. I am so excited to start a brand new school year.  This is going to be the best year ever. We are going to be working extremely hard in order to make our students proficient third graders and future progressive fourth graders.

Let me tell you a little  bit about myself. I have been teaching for 19 years. I taught for 12 years in Virginia in the Chesapeake Public Schools district. I moved back to Elizabeth City 5 years ago, ready and eager to begin another chapter in education.  I received my formal education by graduating from Elizabeth City State University with a Bachelors Degree in Education, and went on to receive my Masters Degree in Education as well.

I am a very thorough teacher, in that I encourage students to always ask questions about anything they do not understand. I am very flexible in that I try to always do what is best for the students.  Feel free to call me at any time if you as parents have questions. Please remember that as parents, you are your child’s first, best, and foremost teacher… Working together, we can both assure that your child has a very positive and outstanding experience in third grade.
