‘Tis the Season… Greetings parents! ‘Tis the Season for excelling in Third Grade! We have completed one full quarter of school, and we are nearing the midway point of the Second Quarter. During this quarter, the students will be focusing heavily on Multiplication in Mathematics, as well as maintaining skills learned during the first quarter. In Reading/ Language Arts, we will be exploring the many genres of literature ~ from fiction to nonfiction and many more! In Science and Social Studies, we will continue to alternate between the two in order to cover topics effectively. Parents, be sure to work on learning multiplication facts at home with your children. This will prove to be beneficial in the long run, because once they know the facts, math becomes much easier. You can create flash cards of your own using index cards, or index cards may be purchased from any of the discount stores (Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Family Dollar, etc.) This can serve as Family Fun Night, making learning facts fun for all! I sincerely appreciate the support ~ let’s continue to work together to build successful learners! |
