This month's character word is Integrity. Our Accelerated Reader Program provides an important part of our reading program. Questions that you can ask about the book you and your child have read are as follow: Who is the author? What is the story about? What is the main idea? What is the setting of the story? Do you like the story? Why or Why not? Name the characters of the story. Our calendar time continues to be an important part our day. We integrate several mathematical essentials into our calendar activities. Science and Social Studies are integrated into many activities throughout our daily activities. It is usually integrated through writing, social studies, science, and math activities. Spelling: Spelling activities are included to help students to transfer correct spelling to their daily writing. Writing: The students are continuing to enjoy writing stories daily. We are working on self-editing for punctuation and capitalization. Math: The students are continuing to work on problem-solving, time, addition and subtracting two digit numbers with and without regrouping. |
